Academic Counselling

MS Education Academy is a pace setting organization which focuses on Guidance & Counselling Services, namely: Orientation service; Career Guidance Service; Counselling service. Career Guidance service is focused on grade IX to XII students.

  • The MS team has consolidated all aspects of Career Guidance—career talks by experts, career conferences, exhibitions, and panel discussions—under the umbrella of “Innovative Institutional Practices in Career Development Programme of MS.
  • The activities under “Career Guidance” service are dissemination of authentic information about various academic courses and ever-changing scenario of world of work and are conducted by senior and seasoned professionals. Mr. Hameed Sahab- Career Guidance expert from “Siasat” Newspaper and Dr. Syed Hameed, MS Director (Academics)- an NCERT trained Guidance Counsellor.
  • Mr. Hameed Sahab from Siasat news interacts with Board going students and takes them to those details of All India competitive exams like “NEET” and “JEE” etc., Dr. Syed Hameed focuses on “Effective study habit” and “Early Goal Setting” at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Embracing the philosophy that ‘School is a small community and the Community is a big school,’ the institution leverages community resources by inviting successful professionals to inspire and guide students through bi-monthly career talks.
  • Students are asked to prepare their own PPT on their chosen career path and present once in a fortnight generating discussion and providing lot of information.
  • Every campus is encouraged to have “CAREER GUIDANCE CORNER“- a bulletin board having authentic information about nearby colleges, courses and careers, displayed by the students.
  • Wherever necessary “Individual Inventory Service” is extended by a team of Psychologists available in “ISLAAH” department by administering aptitude tests.

Our Services for Students

We prioritize students’ well-being by addressing their behavioural, emotional, and learning needs through structured interventions:

1. Individual Counselling

Tailored sessions are offered to support the specific needs of over 2,000 students, covering:

  • Behavioural Challenges: Addressing issues like difficulty following classroom rules, frequent outbursts, defiance, procrastination, lack of motivation, or impulsivity.
  • Emotional Struggles: Managing stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, overwhelming emotions, and relationship challenges.
  • Academic Issues: Providing guidance on focus, time management, exam fears, and underachievement.
  • Social Concerns: Helping students navigate peer pressure, conflicts, and healthy relationships.

These one-on-one sessions provide students with a safe, confidential space to explore their concerns and develop strategies to overcome challenges.

2. Group Counselling Sessions

  • Focused on promoting a healthy school environment and addressing sensitive topics like: Bullying prevention, Classroom behaviour improvement, Managing peer conflicts, Career counselling, etc.

3. Student-Focused Workshops

Interactive workshops designed to enhance academic, personal, and social skills:

  • Academic Development: Exam preparation, stress management, study techniques, and time management.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Sessions on self-hygiene, menstruation awareness, recognizing abuse, and understanding “good touch vs. bad touch.
  • Digital Literacy: Managing screen time, exploring the impact of social media, understanding cyber addiction, and addressing substance abuse.
  • Special Programs for 10th Grade: Strategies to cope with academic pressures and stress unique to this pivotal year.

Support for Parents
Recognizing the crucial role of parents in children’s development, we offer:

  • Workshops and Counselling Sessions: Addressing age-specific parenting challenges, improving communication skills, and managing behavioural or academic issues in children.

Programs for Teachers
To enhance the educational environment, we provide:

  • Training on Teacher-Student Relationships: Building positive and meaningful connections with students.
