MS Degree College for Women Hosts Grand Two-Day Convocation “Jashn-e-Kamyabi”

Vice Chairperson reflects on nurturing potential and shaping 325 future generations.

Graduates pledge to contribute meaningfully to family, society, and the country.

MS Degree College for Women, a distinguished institution under MS Education Academy, celebrated a momentous milestone with its two-day convocation ceremony titled “Jashn-e-Kamyabi.” The grand event was held on 16th & 17th February 2026 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, bringing together graduates, faculty members, dignitaries, and proud families in a celebration of achievement and aspiration.

Celebrating 325 Graduates and Their Academic Journey

The ceremony honored 325 graduating students, who received their certificates amidst applause and heartfelt congratulations. More than a formal distribution of degrees, the event symbolized perseverance, discipline, and years of academic dedication.

Eminent academic and social personalities praised the students’ remarkable accomplishments, acknowledging the crucial role of consistent effort and dedicated mentorship. The graduates, in turn, reaffirmed their commitment to using their education as a force for positive change within their families, communities, and the nation at large.

“From Seed to Legacy” – Vice Chairperson’s Inspiring Address

Vice Chairperson Nuzhat Khan delivered an emotional reflection on the students’ 15-year journey, from nursery classrooms to graduation. Drawing a powerful comparison between a farmer nurturing a seed and an institution shaping young minds, she emphasized the patience and dedication required in character-building.

She expressed that she does not see merely 325 students graduating, but 325 torchbearers representing future generations, carrying forward the values instilled in them.

Human Intelligence vs Artificial Intelligence – A Thought-Provoking Perspective

Guest of Honour Dr. Nayyar Farozan offered a compelling address on the distinction between artificial intelligence and human intelligence. She cautioned that over-reliance on technology risks creating “artificial ignorance,” urging students to remain thoughtful and self-aware.

Through a striking calculation of life’s timeline, she explained that even in a 100-year lifespan, only about 11,000 truly productive days remain after subtracting childhood and sleep. Using the story of a woodcutter, she emphasized accountability for every moment and highlighted that a strong woman forms the foundation of a strong family.

Women’s Economic Empowerment: A Call to Action

Renowned social activist Rubina Nafees described a degree as an “empty plot” that must be cultivated with skill, determination, and purpose. She expressed concern that the participation of Muslim women in the national workforce remains below two percent, calling for serious introspection.

Highlighting the importance of financial independence, she noted that a bank account is not merely about holding money, it is about gaining a voice in household decisions. She encouraged graduates to aim high, envisioning roles in the IAS, Parliament, and corporate leadership.

Education Beyond Degrees: Shaping Contributors, Not Followers

The institution reiterated that the true purpose of education is to liberate individuals from the “silent slavery” of social media dependency and empower them to become active contributors to society rather than passive observers.

Students described the ceremony as a “Day of Transformation,” marking not just the completion of a degree, but the beginning of purposeful engagement with the world.
