MSians Cubs to Represent India at International Scout Event

MS Creative School Students Chosen for Prestigious Global Platform

In a proud moment for the Hyderabad, two Cub Scouts from MS Creative School Mohammed Safwan Qureshi and Mohammed Imtiyaz Affan have been selected to represent India at the 14th National Cuboree, a flagship international scouting event hosted by the Sri Lanka Scout Association.

Only Two Cubs from India Selected

Safwan and Imtiyaz are the only Cubs from India invited to the three-day event, scheduled to be held from August 15 to 17, 2025 in the historic city of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. The Cuboree is expected to bring together nearly 10,000 Cub Scouts and youth leaders from Sri Lanka and other SAARC nations.

Fostering Friendship and Learning

The international Cuboree will feature activities such as:

  • Outdoor games and exhibitions
  • Arena displays and campfires
  • Cultural exchange programs
  • Community service initiatives
  • Heritage tours

These activities aim to strengthen global friendships, encourage cooperation, and enhance personal skills among young scouts.

A Journey of Consistent Achievement

This will be Safwan and Imtiyaz’s third major scouting event of the year. Their journey began with a local camp at Bharat Scouts & Guides State Training Centre, Jeedimetla, followed by participation in the Diamond Jubilee Jamboree in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu (Jan 28 – Feb 3, 2025). The Sri Lanka Cuboree will mark their first international scouting experience.

Voices of Pride and Excitement

Both students expressed their excitement, calling the opportunity “thrilling.” Their parents described the selection as a rare privilege, giving their children a chance to be part of a global scouting platform.

Accompanying them will be Dr. Syed Hameed, Academic Director of MS Education Academy. Congratulating the students, Dr. Mauzam Hussain, Managing Director of MS Education Academy, said: “This is a moment of immense pride for us. Safwan and Imtiyaz have consistently demonstrated discipline, dedication, and enthusiasm in Cub Scouting. MS Education Academy was among the first in Hyderabad to introduce the Cubs and Bulbuls program under Bharat Scouts & Guides for Classes 3 to 5. Implemented at MS Creative School, the initiative focuses on:
